We both had the same game plan:

"I'm Never Getting Married!"

~But the Coach Upstairs had a different playbook~

It was a warm summer Saturday evening in June 2018, and the parking lot of a convenience store became our football field. He made the first pass, I caught it, and with a quick return, I tossed back a flirtatious line. Not one to fumble the opportunity, he went for the end zone by asking for my number.

~And the game was on~

After a few plays that didn't quite connect, we finally managed to schedule a date. We huddled up and got to know each other, and that's when we realized this wasn't our first scrimmage. Turns out, Pierre had been teammates with three of my brothers back in high school at Northwestern. He reminded me that we first crossed paths there at a football game. That night, as we revisited the highlights of our past, we knew we were on the same team now.

Our love has faced its fair share of tough defenses, but we've built a solid team and we're ready to keep advancing down the field together.

That’s why, on March 10th, 2024, Pierre called the biggest play of his life and asked me to be his wife ~ and of course, I accepted the winning proposal!

In April 2025, we will unite and be each other's cheerleader till our "Victory is Won."
